Real Player User’s Guide
If you are looking for a fantastic media player program that is easy to download and install, easy to use and works on virtually any platform, then Real Player media player is the right choice for you. If you haven’t gotten your own version of Real Player for free, you can do so now. If you do have it already but would like to know more about how to use it to its fullest potential, then this guide has the answers you’re looking for.
Install the Latest Version
The latest version of Real Player is 10.5 for people using a Windows Operating System and 10.0 for others. Some of the features are not currently available for the Mac and Linux users.
After your download is complete, you will be asked to install Real Player.
After this is complete, you will be walked through the Real Player Setup and then you are ready to begin using Real Player as your media player on your computer.
You can create a desktop shortcut to make it easier for you to launch your Real Player anytime you want.
Launch and Use Real Player
Once you have Real Player installed, you can launch it and it will open like this:

The Real Player guide will open on launch and show you many options that you have while using Real Player Media Player.

Now you will have the opportunity to add music files to your Real Player Library. If you look at the tabs at the top, the second tab over says “Music and My Library”.
This will allow you to add files to your library. One way of doing this is to search your computer storage drives for any and all music files. This may take a long time if you have large storage drives or many music files. When this search has completed, you can add files from your computer to your media player library.

Another way to get music to your media player library is to rip them from a CD. You can do this by placing the CD in the computer and then going to the tab which reads “Burn/Transfer”.
There will also be a section in your media library titled “Purchase Music” and this is where all of the songs you buy will be saved.
You can organize your saved music in your library in different ways to make it easier for you to find specific songs and artists later when you want them. You can also create customized “playlists”.
Playlists allow you to put the songs you love in an order and have them play through in the order that you choose. You can even rate your songs with 1-5 stars and search for your songs by their rating.
Using the Controls
The controls for Play, Stop, Pause and Fast Forward and Rewind are located at the top of the player. It’s very simple and easy to use Real Player and if you attempt to play a media file without opening Real Player, it will automatically load for you.
Have fun using Real Player!
